Community night – February 27th

What is a community evening?

A community evening is when you can work on any project you like, whether this is a hobby, some home improvement or just an excuse to finally come along. The LPL staff will be there to help you out in whatever you choose to make and its a great way to meet other prototypers.

What are the specific details?

You can arrive anytime from 16:00 to work on your project of choice whilst we provide some refreshments to keep your brain whirring. We will be there to help you learn techniques or machines but also to chat about any ideas you’ve been keeping on the back burners. We want to open this event to new users, so if you have a friend who might be interested: bring them along*. The event says it ends at 17:30 but this is subject to attendance and it may go on longer.

NB: Having friends is not a requirement

I don’t have a project, can I still attend?

Absolutely, we have a few ‘community projects’ to give you a go at using some tools. You will also meet other people with projects who could need help, even if its just an extra thumb to hold down some tape. To show some love we will also be letting people solder the remaining heart LED kits we have left over from valentines day.

Do I need to sign-up?

Yes! The sign up is open so as many people can come as they like. However, we need an idea of the numbers to help us ensure there is enough staff. Use this community night sign-up link to let us know you are coming.
